I first met Aubrey from Midwest Meets Design through Instagram (I swear I meet so many talented people through this app!) and when she asked me to be the photographer for the styled shoot she was planning at an amazing new venue here in Iowa, I was overjoyed to say the least! It's such an honor to be asked to be part of a styled shoot, especially when the vendors are this crazy talented. Our sweet couple Carly & Nick had just gotten married and were absolute naturals in front of the camera. I'm certain that we had the windiest day of 2020, but we still managed to get so many stunning photos outside. 1868 Farmhouse is what venue dreams are made of; all white everything, beautiful natural light, custom farm tables & so many special touches throughout (I was even drooling over the bathroom tiles y'all). I absolutely love venues like this, especially when you have less than ideal weather conditions because you can get stunning photographs all indoors. I'm always thrilled when my couples choose venues with beautiful natural light, because in case of bad weather, we already have a perfect backup plan for your portraits. Even better: I got to shoot this epic styled shoot alongside my husband, while he created an amazing film for this shoot. I'll attach it at the bottom of this blog post so you can see even more! I'll be shooting my first wedding here in 2022 and I cannot WAIT to come back. Enjoy a few of my favorites from this very special day with so many talented vendors!
