My passport is always ready and my bags are usually unpacked from my last adventure so if you’re considering a destination wedding, I’d love to join you! I offer special pricing for my destination couples and I love exploring new places.
I only accept a limited number of weddings each year to ensure the very best experience for each of my couples. Most of my couples book about a year in advance to save their date.

How do you approach photographing weddings?
I love being by your side to help you before your wedding day. I'll help you with organizing your timeline, finding the best moments for couples photos, different lighting to be aware of... and so much more. I adore capturing all of the special details you put into your day, from the rings to the invitations to your table centerpieces. My photography style is a mix of posed and candid images. On your wedding day, I want to capture all of the feelings, the mood, the emotions, the calm & crazy moments and all the details that make your wedding unique. My images are known for their classic and clean style, focused on organic posing and artfully arranged details.
Where are you based and do you travel?
I'm based in Des Moines, Iowa & yes I love to travel! So far I've photographed weddings around the U.S. and in Mexico! If you want me to photograph your story outside of Iowa, it will likely require a travel fee, depending on where it takes place. I will create you an all inclusive custom package for your day so that there are no fees or costs later. I love the way my creativity sky rockets in new places!
Who is on your team?
I work with several professional independent photographers to second shoot for me on each wedding day. These talented professionals have been trained to shoot in a consistent style & manner to the NLP look. I will sometimes also bring along an assistant to help carry bags and expedite our process, making your wedding day as efficient as possible.
How many weddings do you shoot a year?
I close off my calendar at 20 weddings. I prefer to provide an exceptional experience for each of my couples, which means I specialize in weddings, and only accept a limited number of other portrait sessions throughout the year.
What is a first look? Do I need one?
A first look is simply a choice to see each other before the ceremony, which gives you the flexibility and freedom to take all of your wedding party and/or family photos ahead of time. I highly encourage a first look if your ceremony and reception are taking place at the same venue. This will allow you more time for your photos. Couples who do a first look receive 50% more portraits & after all, those will be what you display in your home! It's totally worth it for the extra photos you will recieve and I promise walking down the aisle is still just as special of a moment. As a bonus, you can even enjoy your cocktail hour with your guests if you'd like! If you have a good amount of time between your ceremony and reception (for example a church ceremony at 1 pm) this is not necessary.
When will we get our photos?
Your will receive an online gallery link with all of your photos within 3 weeks for portrait sessions and maximum 10 weeks for weddings (often less depending on the season of your wedding). You can download all the photos from the gallery but also share them, choose your favorites, and order prints!
How many photos will we receive?
I typically average 50-100 photos per hour. It all depends on your day & the events that take place, but for 8 hours of wedding coverage, you will likely receive between 600-800 fully edited images (often times more depending on the day). I always choose quality rather than quantity and that's why I will choose the best and most significant photos to tell your story.
Will we get sneak peeks?
Yes! For all weddings, I deliver a sneak peek within about a week of your wedding date. It all depends on my schedule but I promise you'll see a handful of images within 7 - 10 days. I know how badly I wanted to see them from my own wedding! For engagement & portrait sessions, I do not deliver sneak peeks as your gallery will be delivered within three weeks.
